The new device combines DVB reception, IP audio streaming and local backup playback in a single compact solution. Depending on the installed tuner, it supports DVB-C, DVB-T/T2 and DVB-S/S2 sources, alongside Icecast/Shoutcast, HLS, SRT, HTTP, RTSP and UDP/RTP MPEG-TS streams.
For maximum on-air reliability, the unit features automatic backup switching with silence and low-bitrate detection, allowing it to move to an alternative source when the primary feed fails.
Professional connectivity includes balanced stereo XLR outputs and AES digital audio output, while an embedded web interface, SNMP support, alarm logging and remote firmware updates simplify operation across both individual transmitter sites and larger broadcast networks.
The KVARTA Broadcast Audio Source was developed with one goal: to provide broadcasters with a flexible, reliable and cost-effective way to keep their audio on air.
