Use case
Distribute IPTV channels over coax in hotels, hospitals and campuses
Turn IP streams into DVB-C, DVB-T, ISDB-T or ATSC on existing TV cabling.
The problem
Why it happens
Hotels, hospitals and small towns already have coaxial TV cabling and ordinary TVs. They want to offer IPTV channels without new wiring or a set-top box in every room.
Sounds familiar?
- Channels only available as IP streams
- Coax network and TVs already installed
- No space or budget for a large headend
The KVARTA way
How we solve it
The DVB Modulator takes UDP, RTP, HLS or RTSP streams (SPTS or MPTS) and modulates up to 24 carriers in DVB-C, QAM-B, DVB-T, ISDB-T or ATSC from a fanless 1U box. It generates the EPG from XMLTV or EIT and supports CI cards for encrypted channels.
What is checked
- Up to 24 carriers in 1U
- DVB-C, QAM-B, DVB-T, ISDB-T, ATSC
- EPG from XMLTV or EIT
- CI cards for encrypted channels
